Stainless Steel Sheet Details

TP304 316L 321 347 317L 2B No.1 Stainless Steel Sheet Factory

Stainless steels are iron-based alloys containing at least 10.5% chromium (Cr). This chromium creates an invisible surface film that resists oxidation, making the material corrosion-resistant.

300 Series Grades

Classified as austenitic, these are hardenable only by cold working. They contain chromium (18-30%) and nickel (6-20%). Type 304 is the most widely used alloy globally due to its corrosion resistance and ease of maintenance.

304/304L Grade: A versatile, general-purpose stainless steel with excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion and many chemicals. 304L is the low-carbon version, ideal for welded applications to prevent chromium carbide precipitation.

316/316L Grade: Molybdenum-bearing austenitic steel. It offers better overall corrosion resistance than 304, particularly against pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. It also provides higher creep and stress-rupture strengths.

347 Grade: Stabilized with columbium and tantalum, eliminating carbide precipitation. It offers higher creep and stress rupture properties than 304/304L.

321/321H Grade: Titanium-stabilized steel with excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to high temperatures (800-1500°F).

309/310S Grade: Known for high heat treatment capabilities. Grade 310S can resist oxidation at temperatures up to 1150°C, making it ideal for high-temperature service.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel?
While both are austenitic, 316 stainless steel contains molybdenum, which significantly increases its resistance to corrosion, especially in saline or chloride-rich environments compared to 304.
Which surface finish is best for kitchen appliances?
The BA (Bright Annealed) and No. 4 (Satin) finishes are most popular for kitchenware and food processing facilities due to their aesthetic appeal and ease of cleaning.
Can these stainless steel sheets withstand high temperatures?
Yes, specific grades like 310S are designed for high-temperature service, maintaining oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 1150°C.
What thicknesses do you provide for cold-rolled sheets?
Our cold-rolled stainless steel sheets typically range from 0.3mm to 6.0mm in thickness.
How are the sheets protected during shipping?
Each sheet is covered with a protective film (PVC, Laser, or Transparent) and packed using metal pallets with angle bar protection and rainproof paper for sea transport.
Do your products meet international standards?
Absolutely. Our materials comply with ASTM, AISI, DIN, JIS, and GB standards, and our factory is ISO and RoHS certified.
